Ms. Dana received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing (minor in Design) from Northern Illinois University. She received her teaching certification from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. Ms. Dana not only believes that the arts enhance students’ quality of life, but she also believes that integrating the arts with other school subjects can deepen students’ understanding of everything they study. Prior to becoming a teacher, Ms. Dana was a working artist and design professional. In addition to teaching, she enjoys dance, music (especially opera), needlework, gardening and jewelry design. She lives on the near west side of Chicago with her husband and her cat, Lui.
